MODULE AIM
This course unit/module is intended to provide progressive knowledge on Financial reporting having completed the Advanced Financial Accounting
course as a pre requisite. This course module provides knowledge and applications of consolidated Financial statements for simple group structures
as well as complex structures. Moreover the course provides understanding on current developments pertaining to corporate governance,
sustainability reporting and integrated reporting.
INTENDED LEARNING OUTCOMES
At the end of the Course Unit the student will be able to:
1. Prepare consolidated financial statements for simple group structure
2. Prepare consolidated financial statements for complex group structure with several subsidiaries, associates and joint ventures
3. Apply the knowledge of accounting standards to solve the practical scenarios.
4. Apply professional judgment in complicated circumstances related to consolidation and Evaluate the appropriate accounting treatments.
5. Discuss current developments in corporate governance, sustainability reporting and integrated reporting
